On February 12, 2025, SHIKI Japanese Fine Dining celebrated its 10th anniversary with an exclusive jubilee dinner. Founder and internationally renowned musician Joji Hattori welcomed numerous prominent guests, including ORF TV Culture Director Martin Traxl, Peter and Christian Friese from “Schwarzes Kameel,” opera singers Rainer and Noriko Trost, and the Director of the Vienna State Opera, Bogdan Roščić.

The evening began with a violin performance by Hattori, followed by a heartfelt speech in which he reflected on the past ten years. He emphasized the importance of his dedicated team and the loyalty of the guests, which have been instrumental in the restaurant’s success.

Guests enjoyed an exclusive menu, showcasing the unique fusion of authentic Japanese cuisine with delicately balanced European accents. Since its opening in 2015, SHIKI has established itself as one of Vienna’s top culinary destinations, recently earning 18 points in Gault Millau and four toques.

In addition to reflecting on past achievements, Hattori also provided insight into future projects. He is currently working on the opening of an exclusive boutique, designed to offer a unique experience of Japanese aesthetics.

The anniversary dinner was a fitting highlight of a decade of culinary excellence and a testament to the continuous evolution of SHIKI.
